“The most tragic form of loss isn’t the loss of security; it’s the loss of the capacity to imagine that things could be different.” – Ernst Bloch
We have been involved in lots of projects that make a difference and believe that a critical and compassionate approach to the world today is necessary for a better tomorrow. We will be updating this site with our archives of inspiration, outlines of what we believe in as an organisation with links to previous projects that our consultants, trainers and artists have worked on.
Our aims…
To develop skills to increase the participation of under-represented groups and build the capacity of community groups to support them: Capacity building, active development. Running accessible activities in skills which are in demand by individual groups who identify with being under-represented and the community organisations and unions that work with and support them.
To develop a shared sense of community through the use of the arts: Running art projects which build new communities and strengthen existing ones.
To use creative approaches to encourage cultural exchange: facultative and creative approaches, dialogue. Working reciprocally with individuals, artists, community groups and unions to make links across borders and barriers and celebrate and promote diversity. We want to facilitate dialogue which develops knowledge and understanding of difference.
To raise awareness of sustainability and promote ethical choices: Creative autonomy, sustainability and ethical choice making are the foundation of our ethos and the work we do. We believe that to make ethical choices that the voices of all members of a community should be heard. Our beliefs are actively present in everything we create.
