Reconnect! Creative Climate Drop-in – 3 Dec 2022
Come into our creative space for a cup of tea, and learn about the energy crisis as part of a National Day of Action on Fuel Poverty, part of the Warm this Winter Campaign. Share your experiences and learn about local campaigning, volunteering opportunities and advocacy groups. While you are here, get a chance to get creative with some sustainable climate art, send a message to your local councillor or MP and have a chat with other like-minded people.
The drop-in will run from 2pm – 5pm stop by anytime and visit the community market happening at the Cornerstone Community Centre while you are here.
- Add to our collaborative A1 landscape all created using materials such as milk bottle tops, fishing net and drinks cartons.
- Design your own postcard to send to your MP. While you are designing your postcard we can discuss proactive ways to engage with local government to create change around climate action.
You do not need to be an artist or a climate expert to join us! Everyone is welcome to join the conversation, and we hope to gain insight from a range of different people, perspectives and backgrounds.
The event is run by Magnetic Ideals and Arts for Life, it is taking place in the Loft Room of the Cornerstone Community Centre, you have any questions about accessibility please get in touch reconnect@magneticideals.org
